DIY Easter Tree Decorations
I’m a bit late to the party but I just had to write about the Easter tree I made this year (and the home made decorations we created to adorn it). I love these seasonal DIY’s and initially wanted to make a Halloween tree, however when Easter came around I thought it would be fun to try and recreate a smaller version of the gorgeous decorations I saw when visiting Prague as a young girl.

This was also the first time I’ve made salt dough for my child to play with. I had lots of different shaped cutters for the dough and this was such a fun project to do together. Though I will admit I completely took over when it came to decorating them! I wanted to do pretty ‘folk’ style art in a fresh, spring colour palette.

The tree itself is a simple branch cut off from the back garden. I’ve spray painted it a neutral colour so that the decorations would pop but it could have just as easily been left plain.

I found some egg decorations at Flying Tiger that were on offer and I couldn’t help myself. I’m so pleased with the overall result! I’m hoping these decorations will last for years to come and add a little festive feel to our home during Spring.

Do you have any Easter DIY recommendations?
